BLIND DAVE GOES BATTY

26-05-2008

Not content with being a blind marathon runner, Dave Heeley is now determined to prove himself as a cricketer with a charity match in Sutton Coldfield. Stirrer editor Adrian Goldberg will be opening the batting.

Dave's side are named Carla's All Stars in honour of his much loved Guide Dog, and they'll be taking on a Bunbury XI, recruited by David English - former Bee Gees and Eric Clapton manager.

No names have yet been confirmed but last time the sides met, former England batsman Wayne Larkins put in an appearance along with ex-Blues star Ian Clarkson and a surprisingly nimble Malcolm Boyden.

Come and join us at the John Findlay Memorial Ground, Walmley CC on June 15.
