Not quite. You are paid for every unit (kWh) of power generated, whether used by you or sold back to the grid. Anything sold to the power company then brings in an additional 3p per unit.

Mike Whitby was quite right that we only lost four councillors (all by a tiny margin) because voters who never normally bother turning out for local elections were at the polling station because a GE was on. The other underlying trend to consider is that the voters will start punishing councillors at the polls for the wrongs of their national leaders. It happened to Labour and it will happen to you.

Mike Whitby was quite right that we only lost four councillors (all by a tiny margin) because voters who never normally bother turning out for local elections were at the polling station because a GE was on.

And absolutely nothing to do with the Council being in massive deficit with redundancies all over the place even before the budget is cut largely due to poor management.

It will be interesting to see voters reaction when the hard times actually start.

I think the word for that is 'Spin'.

I see where you are going. Kind of like banging Prescott with Blair? But with someone more cerebral in the Prescott?

if not more

the election is fought over around 100-150 seats and within each usually 5000-10000 voters per seat and usually the middle class

that is what decides elections the core support on both parties have no real say

so back to the thread I think a partnership works if one person appeals to the narrow band, say Milliband but you also need in our ase someone like Crudas to appeal to the core with the same policy but wrapped up differently

Stirrer, you're showing your pro-Salma Yaqoob bias here, AGAIN!

Cllr Ayoub Khan only supported this scheme IF the relevant Ward Councillors supported it.

The Sparkbrook Ward Councillors were consulted and raised no objections to it. In the case of Cllr Ishtiaq he supported it.

Ask the police if you don't believe me.

The lad seems to have been rushed back into action quite a lot lately. If we can get past the first two group games, rest him for the third and get him back into action.

He is MASSIVE for England.

you miss the point guy, by targeting one group of people you disenfranchise a much larger group

the new leader has to pull the trick of attracting the core support and those on the edge, Blair did it but in many ways too successful, Camero trying it but failed.

Now I am lost. At the risk of jumping off thread I don't get "FPTP forces all the parties to narrow % of the population?" By it's nature you have to get over 35% of the vote to get real power... under PR people who attract a REALLY narrow % of the population (e.g. the BNP who could poll realistically between 5-15% depending on how crappy the economy is at the time) would ALWAYS get a seat at the table for negotiating.

Under PR after every election Griffen would be in the "smoke-filled-room" that Clegg is currently in making the deals in his interest that allow the government to form.

There's two in Springfield - one on Wake Green Road and another one sprouting up on Springfield Road.

Where's Jerry when you need him?

Or should I call on the local biraderi leaders? I need an interpreter.

I would have complained to Cllr. Zaker Choudhry as he sits on the West Midlands Police Authority (Lead Member would you believe) but I hear he lost his seat last week and no speaking the English good anyways.
