BLIND DAVE TAKES TO THE STAGE

03-06-2008

Fqave and his penthouse

Black Country runner Blind Dave Heeley is taking to the stage to talk about his epic seven continent, seven day, seven marathon expedition. He’ll be appearing at the Robin 2 in Bilston in September in a show compered by Stirrer editor Adrian Goldberg.

Dave said: “I’ve been think for some time about getting out there and talking to people about what I’ve done.

"I occasionally do public speaking and it seems to go down well, so I thought 'why not see if I can do it off my bat.'"

As well as discussing his running exploits, Dave will also talk about his amazing DIY skills – and the heartache of going blind in his early 20s.

The night will also feature an updated film about his exploits and a question and answer session.

As the show is in September, he’ll hopefully have recovered from last Sunday’s alternative 777 epic – a tour of seven pubs in seven towns in hours.

Seeing Is Believing – An Audience With Blind Dave Heeley compered by Adrian Goldberg is at The Robin 2, Bilston, on September 14. Tickets £10 in advance from www.therobin.co.uk
