BLIND DAVE ON TALKSPORT TODAY

25-02-2008

West Bromwich running hero Blind Dave Heeley gets more national exposure today when he appears on Hawksbee and Jacob’s show on Talksport.

Dave – who’s aiming to become the first disabled athlete to complete seven marathons in seven days on seven continents – had his official launch last Thursday at the Hawthorns.

“I was amazed at how many people turned up,” he says.

“We had Cyrille Regis, Tony Morley, and Bob Taylor - and loads of press, which was the important thing.”

As well as plentiful coverage in local newspapers, Dave has also been featured in The Independent, which has linked to The Stirrer’s film “Personal Best” on their website (http://tinyurl.com/37vkax).

Hawksbee and Jacobs have been long time supporters of the seven marathon challenge – you can hear them interviewing Dave between 1pm-4pm today on 1053 or 1089 AM, or online at http://www1.talksport.net/
