BLIND DAVE TO TAKE ON BRUM

West Brom marathon runner Dave Heeley is already looking beyond next spring’s 777 challenge – he’s planning to take on Birmingham’s inaugural half marathon next September.

The Brum run will presumable be a light jog for a man who by then will have run seven marathons in seven continents on seven days, but he’s looking forward to it all the same.

“It’ll be a nice change to have something on the doorstep after all that globe-trotting” he said.

“Mind you, we’ve got to get the 7s sorted first”.

Dave has had one disappointment recently. The first man to achieve the 777, Sir Ranulph Fiennes, who was planning to run the final leg with Dave in London has had to pull out, because of other commitments.
